Baby Girl Pop-Up Gift Card Box

When I go to craft fairs I have found that the main item that people want to purchase is baby cards. For some reason, my creativity reaches it's limits when it comes to baby items. Maybe it is because the Lord has not blessed us with children yet, or maybe it's because my stint of living at the Student Health Center at MBU has gave me a permanent disgust of things all PINK and things all BLUE. (The boys floor of the Student Health Center was ALL BLUE, and the girls floor was all pink, not just any pink, Pepto Pink.)  Anyway, I struggle to make baby items and struggle to buy baby stamps. I found this sweet image from Lili of the Valley. The image is called "Snuggle Time". I really enjoy Lili of the Valley images. They only downside is that they are a company based out of the UK so waiting for them to come in the mail is a KILLER! But once I can get over my antsy need to use them, the wait is so worth it. The stamps come unmounted, (Which was a shock when I got them.) I was able to purchase some mounting foam from Amazon.com which was super easy and works great! After I applied the mounting foam, I could use the stamps with my acrylic blocks.New Composition-6
The idea was to make another slider box, but I had the worst time getting it to work, so I changed mid-project and made a gift card holder inside the box that pops up.  I don't know about you, but when I go to a baby shower, I always think that no matter how many cute outfits and baby blankets you can find, the mother appreciates money more so she can get the brands and stuff she prefers or needs. So I try to do gift cards over actual gifts. The downside with gift cards is that they are boring to give and open. So why not put it in a super cute box that can be displayed for years to come!? New Composition-10 New Composition-11
I had some silk daisies from Walmart laying around so I decided to add them for some dimension and accent. I used a brad with a plastic rose on it for the drawer handle. New Composition-7
I made a gift-card-sized insert for the picture, but any standard gift card will fit just perfectly. There is also room in the drawer for some treats for the mom to be. (Lets face it, pregnancy is an occasion that calls for lots and lots of chocolate.)
Hope you Enjoyed!! Thanks for reading.

Sasayaki Glitter Christmas Shaker Card

Hi Friends! Today I am sharing a card using an image I had the privilege of coloring for the Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamps Nov. 1st New Release.  I couldn't wait to color this image us as I had inspiration for what kind of card I would make before I had even printed the image to color. I love those AH HA moments.
This was my second attempt at a shaker card. I am still trying to get the technique down without getting sequins and glitter stuck on the foam that raises the shaker layers. But, I thought this turned out really well for a second attempt. Here is a close up of my colored image. I colored the image with my Prismacolors using the pencils themselves as the blending agent on Canson Mi Teintes white paper. The Merry Christmas Sentiment came from a friend of mine from a Kit and Clowder Facebook Card Swap. Let me Tell you, I am so thankful for Alyce and Kit and Clowder. I look forward to all the coloring classes and group support you get from being apart of her group!

Julia Spiri Scalloped Circle Easel Card

Hi All! Today I am sharing a project I made using this "Mask Girl" stamp from Julia Spiri's Digital Stamp Shop. I used to not be into the color purple, but over the last few years, it has really grown on me, and I thought purple would be just fantastic on this image.
I colored this girl with my Spectrum Noir alcohol pens then I accented it with stickles glitter.  The card base is from another project I'm working on and will hopefully share with you all in the near future.  The lace and ribbons and green stick-on gems are all random finds from our local Walmart. and I accented with some Mulberry roses from Hobby Lobby as well as a couple handmade roses from your's truely.  Here's a little closer shot of the card and image.
I am entering my image in the following challenges: Julia Spiri Challenge Blog #25 Anything Goes with a Twist of Tic Tac Toe Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog #134 Lots of Layers + a Stamp Crafting when we can #130 - No Square Cards

Demera Bashful Fae Scalloped Easel Card

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing yet another card I made with my Scalloped Easel SVG Template that I designed this week. Keep looking later this week for more info on how you can get that SVG for free.  For this card I used a freebie image from the Faery Inks Facebook group. I believe she is called Demera Bashful Fae. If you just LoVE this image check out more from the Faery Inks Shop. You can also join the Faery Ink Facebook Group as well.

One of my favorite parts about the Easel Cards is that they make the cards more like gifts than cards. I love to accent them with tons of embellishments as well. This one I acc noted the images with a variety of pink papers and fake daisies and a couple of my handmade roses, as well as some burlap and lace.
I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens. I am still very much getting the hang of coloring with alcohol pens, but I am pleased with the way she turned out.  I am super excited about sharing my SVG with everyone so keep checking…
