Red, White and Blue Challenge

I recently lost my job, I have another one lined up at our local school, but I am free until school starts so I have been enjoying the time off by working lots at my church, and putting extra time into my cards. I was able to get my ETSY shop back up and running (Link in side bar). I've also been enjoying trying my hand at several challenges. This week I decided to make a card for The Greeting Farm's July challenge
The theme is Red, White, and Blue. I chose to use the Rubber Stamp image called Cheeky Cherry Pie. I decided to do my old standby easel fold because it looks great when displayed. So here is how it turned out.

I colored the sweet little image with Prismacolor pencils. For her hair I used a blend pallet that I learned from the pencil class I took from Kit and Clowder. I do say it's one of my favorite hair coloring I've done yet.
Thanks again for reading!

Wizard and Wizardette Make

I'm not gonna lie, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I have read the books, listen to the GB version of the audio books (because Stephen Fry is the BEST narrator ever), I've watched all the movies multiple times, AND I am registered to Pottermore.  Anyway, when I discovered that Tiddly Inks had  wizard and wizarette stamps, I had to snatch them up right away. The only problem was that no one in my life is as much of a Potter Nut as I am so I was unsure if I could find an occasion to use them. I decided that I would take the Tiddly Inks recent challenge  as a proper occasion to pull these babies out.
The challenge is # 161 "Anything Goes."

I had the opportunity to play with my "Tim Holtz" paper distressed for the first time, the outside of this card is simple but I liked the way it tuned out.
I was able to practice my coloring as well. I have been taking the pencil class from Kit and Clowder

I decided to do the pop up book layout. I used the template from this blog. And I colored the images with my favorite medium, prismacolors and OMS.
Thanks for reading!!!!
